Four Tire Issues to Look for in Your European Automobile

Eurozone Motors wants you to have the safest and most enjoyable driving experience in your European automobile. These cars are meant to be driven, and part of their allure is how well they handle, even on tough roads. Handling can reflect the health of your vehicle’s tires, and there are some signs that you’ve got a tire problem. Here are four of them and what they mean to you and your vehicle’s tires.

1. Vibration or Noise

Vibration and/or noise can happen suddenly, usually after coming in contact with something that has punctured the tire. Vibration and noise can also happen if you lose a wheel weight or if the tires go out of balance. Another potential cause is a flat spot on your tire created by a sudden stop. If you notice noise or vibration suddenly, check your tires to see if you have a flat or other problem.

2. Pulling to One Side or the Other

If your car or crossover is pulling to one side or the other, this likely has something to do with either your tires or your wheels. Pay close attention to when exactly the pull is happening. If it’s occurring while you’re moving, it is most likely a tire or wheel issue. A tire could be underinflated or the wheels could be misaligned. It if happens while you’re braking, then it’s likely a problem with a brake caliper.

3. Underinflation or Overinflation

When you have too little air in your tire, it’s considered an underinflated tire. Underinflation can be a big problem because it creates uneven wear on the outer edges of the tire’s tread. If the tire is overinflated, that means that there’s too much air and the center of the tire’s tread is primarily what’s in contact with the road. This can prematurely wear out the center of your tread, which is also a big problem.

4. Uneven Tire Wear

When your tires’ treads are wearing down unevenly, this means that there are other issues going on. The wheels themselves may be out of balance or they could be out of alignment. If you cannot remember the last time you had your wheels balanced and aligned, this could be the problem. Failing to rotate the tires also causes patchy and uneven tire tread wear, which costs you tire life.
